A Really Bad Visa Program

The US visa program is a seriously dangerous federal system that allows some very bad players onto American soil. I believe that nearly all of the 9/11 hijackers were here on some visa program ranging from student, business, to tourist. All 19 overstayed their welcome. No effort was made to find them and remove them, which is standard operating procedure to this day. One terrorist was from Egypt, one from Lebanon, two from the United Arab Emirates, and the rest (15) were from Saudi Arabia. Nearly all of them were educated and middle-class. All were Muslim men. Keep Saudi Arabia in mind as I go further into this blog. The visa system is detrimental in other ways and I will address one of those programs here.

Leo Hohmann of World Net Daily had an article about one of the more pathetic examples of the visa system. The visa program called H-1B is not only dangerous but is also a hit to our economy. It allows foreigners from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Iraq, China, Yemen, and India to access our white collar jobs. In that list of 7, India is, in my opinion, the only country that is even close to being an ally of the US. Also note that 5 of the countries are predominantly Muslim. The H-1B jobs that are being given to the foreigners from the above 7 countries are in what are called STEM jobs (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Note that those are some of the best paying jobs in America.

H-1B allows 65,000 foreigners into the US to take the precious few STEM jobs away from Americans. There is a bill in Congress to increase that number to as much as 200,000. Our elected leaders claim that we have a shortage of STEM laborers. There are currently 5.3 million STEM jobs and there are currently 12.1 million STEM degree holders. Those figures fly in the face of their argument of a shortage. Only one third of American STEM degree holders have a job in a STEM profession. Only half of American graduates with white collar degrees have a job in their field.

Most Conservatives would assume the bill under consideration to up the number of H-1B visas would be a liberal move, not so this time. Senate sponsors of the bill are Marco Rubio R-FL, Orin Hatch R-UT, Jeff Flake R-AZ, and 3 democrats. House of Representative sponsors are Darrell Issa R-CA and 22 of his Republican comrades. With 96 million Americans out of work right now, this doesn't seem like a Conservative thing to do. We can't blame this one on the libs. I wonder if the US Chamber of Commerce has a dog in this fight? Jeb Bush is also a great supporter of immigrant workers. Marco Rubio has claimed lately that he is in support of a sealed border and controlled immigration. But it wasn't all that long ago that Marco was on the "gang of eight" that was all for immigration reform that would allow just what Obama is now doing with his executive amnesty. It never ceases to amaze me how our elected officials have such short-term memories and hope that we do too. It is on tape people!

God Bless America!!!
