Trump's Supreme Court pick plus his travel ban

Gorsuch is Trump’s official nomination to the US Supreme Court. It’s a wonderful thing in my opinion but in this unstable political climate anything can happen. Even the most Conservative appearing appointees to the Supreme Court can cave to the pressures of the extreme left. A  good example of that is Chief Justice John Roberts who was more worried about his Beltway image then doing the right thing. He had to make up his own law in order to make Obamacare appear constitutional. Weakness and activism have no place in our judicial system and are especially egregious when they rear their ugly heads in the federal judicial system.

Continuing on the topic of Trump's Supreme Court nomination don't think for a second that an up or down vote by the Senate will happen anytime soon. When Harry Reid initiated the so-called "nuclear option" it was for the specific purpose of loading up the federal courts with Obama liberal activist judges. It specifically left out Supreme Court nominees because they felt that the placement of a lifetime appointee should be handled differently. If the liberals would actually read the U.S. Constitution they would note that many of the federal judgeships below the Supreme Court level are also lifetime appointments. An activist federal court judge can do infinitely more damage to the US judicial system because many of the liberal activist rulings they make are never appealed to the US Supreme Court. Even if they are that doesn't mean the Supreme Court has to address the issue.

Another example of anti-American activism in the judicial system happened just a couple of days ago. US District Court Judge James Robard in Seattle granted a temporary restraining order against Trump’s travel ban on visa holders from seven terrorist sponsoring nations. Please take note that the list of seven nations was not compiled by Donald Trump. He merely used the seven country list developed by the Department of Homeland Security under Obama in 2011. Also take note that if this was a ban on Muslims the list of countries would be 50 or 60 longer. A final fact to consider is the ban ultimately only affected 109 visa holders out of the multiple millions of Muslims that hold US visas for whatever reason.

The liberal righteous indignation on parade over this travel ban is as bogus as the spontaneous protests at US airports. Trump had promised all through his campaign to curtail any possibility of Islamic terrorists entering the US until he had a more effective method of vetting those coming to the US. We have finally witnessed a politician who is following through with a campaign promise! The protesters were paid individuals from the liberal financial support groups and were held in place and ready to riot/protest as soon as Trump made the travel ban announcement. How else could you explain the fact that the protests “spontaneously” occurred at several airports at precisely the same time? This type of preplanning of the spontaneous protests/riots will be the hallmark of the liberal agenda for all eight years of Trump’s presidency.

I would like to shine a little light on the hypocrisy and selective memory of the liberal/socialist side of the aisle. The ban on immigrants did not start with Trump. At the very beginning of WWII Democrat president Franklin Roosevelt banned all immigrants from Germany, Japan and Italy. He temporarily banned all civil rights of those individuals. Even worse, he didn’t send the ones already here back to their home countries, he locked them up in internment camps all over the United States for the duration of the war. In 1980 Democrat president Jimmy Carter revoked visas of Iranian citizens and Iranian students in particular. Democrat president Bill Clinton banned all travel into the US for individuals coming from HIV infested countries. In 2011 Democrat president Obama put a six-month pause on Iraqi refugees at the request of Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton. Obama banned immigration for one reason or another six different times in his eight years as president.

It never ceases to amaze me the hypocrisy and short memory of liberals. The outrage they display over Conservative events is literally amusing. The ease with which they lie and/or ignore their own shortcomings is very entertaining but also exceedingly dangerous to the future of the United States. The liberal/socialist ideology that is motivated by emotion is fed with a steady diet of lies, radicalism, activism, racism, bigotry, ignorance, insanity, and a maniacal hatred of the founding principles of the United States of America. To me the US is the best nation on the planet but to them the US is the scourge of the world and should be brought to its knees by any means necessary.
