Trump starts his cabinet picks soon

Donald Trump, in my opinion, has made his first mistake. He has announced that Reince Priebus (RNC Chairman) will be his administration’s Chief of Staff. Has he already folded to the establishment Republicans by appointing the man that fought him every step of the way for the last 18 months? What the hell was he thinking? Trump had just completed beating the Republican's 16 establishment candidates, Hillary Clinton and her nasty liberal machine including the dishonorable nation media. I feel it was way too soon to start kissing their rings. His campaign was faltering enough over the last several months that he replaced two campaign managers and ended up with Kellyanne Conway. I honestly believe that Kellyanne got him the Presidency. Why did he drop a winner and appoint a RINO? Donald, please don’t lose sight of your mission to drain the Washington swamp. Caving to the Republican establishment and the Washington elites in general will not win you any favors from the voters that just put you in place.

Why is a faux Republican named Chris Christie still in contention for any position in the Trump administration? My wife, who is quickly becoming my political equal, had an immediate answer: Chris Christie could be in the transportation administration and put in charge of bridge closures. Gazinga! Maybe he could be put in charge of the committee that holds hands with the liberals.

Kelly Ayotte is being considered for Secretary of Defense. Are you kidding me? Are there not vastly more qualified military retirees out there to fill that position? She got a lot of coverage as the media darling who refused to support or vote for Donald Trump. Why is that not reason enough to bypass her for any responsible position in the Trump administration? Another establishment appeasement?

Let’s list all the departments that Trump has to appoint his people to and some of my personal ideas:

Agriculture                       A farmer from west of the Mississippi and east of California

Commerce                        Either of the Koch brothers

Defense                             Allen West                                        Retired Army Lieut. Col.

Education                          Michele Bachman                            Ex House of Rep. (MN)

Energy                               Bobby Jindal                                    Ex Governor of Louisiana

HHS                                  Dr. Ben Carson                                 Retired neurosurgeon

Homeland Security           Rudy Giuliani                                   Former mayor of New York

Housing                            Herman Cain                                    Businessman

Interior                             Sarah Palin                                        Ex Governor of Alaska

Justice                               Judge Roy Moore                             Ex Alabama Chief Justice

Labor                                 Scott Walker                                    Governor of Wisconsin

State                                   John Bolton                                     Ex Dept of State

Transportation

Treasury                             Neil Cavuto                                      Fox Business host

Vet Admin                          a wounded vet who is a current patient of the VA

I did no research on Transportation Secretary. Whoever fills that position and several lesser departments should be prepared to downsize himself/herself out of a job. The names I did pick were purely off the top of my head after hearing them speak or after reading about them on national news on many occasions. I know that sounds a little unprofessional but sometimes a person can judge someone else’s character with very little input. Besides, what other truthful information outlets are available? Another recent nationally recognized figure that should find a place in the top echelon of a Trump administration is Sheriff David Clarke of Detroit. Very few bureaucrats speak to the truth the way he does; political correctness be damned. A man after my own heart.

I may be a little too critical of Trump so soon in the game but I am going to pay close attention and my small political blog will absolutely hold him accountable. I will be extremely disappointed if he becomes yet another Republican we elect  that’s all promise and no action. I will give him the benefit of the doubt because he has an uphill battle against all of the Washington establishment including the bulk of the Republicans. But the honeymoon can't last too long. He must begin corrections as soon as he is sworn in. Obama is not going to go "gently into the night" either. He will be very outspoken about what Trump will be doing with his bogus legacy and he will be given a large "bully pulpit" by his followers in the main stream media. The MSM is not nearly done destroying the last credibility of their profession.

God Bless America!!!
