Gun confiscation at the top of the liberal/socialist/communist wish list

This blog is in direct response to the ongoing and unrelenting liberal/socialist/unconstitutional gun grab against law-abiding American citizens. I talk about it on a regular basis because the Second Amendment is critical to the future survival of the United States of America.

Chief of Police William Taylor of Lowell, Massachusetts presented the City Council with a new idea to require applicants for right-to-carry gun permits to submit an essay explaining why they want that particular permit. The City Council approved the new regulation. Chief Taylor alone has the option of accepting or rejecting the applications but admits he has not established any particular criteria for either approval or denial. I can easily and accurately predict that the number of right-to-carry permits issued by Chief Taylor will be as close to zero as he can possibly keep it. Adding financial injury to insult, the permit application also requires up to an $1,100 application fee. These new city regulations are on top of the already suffocating Massachusetts state gun control laws.

My chances of living in Massachusetts are as real as a snowball fight being held in Satan’s home town! But if I did live there this would be the essay submitted with my application:

Comrade Chief Taylor,

I am submitting this essay as part of the application that allows me to exercise my constitutional right to carry a gun. I am submitting four reasons why that application should be approved.

•          The Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States states plainly: “a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”. (I added the bold type so that you could not miss the most critical part of the amendment.)
•          I have no criminal record and have never used a gun in an illegal or threatening manner.
•          The police respond to “already-committed” crimes. I want to prevent that crime to myself, my family, my home, or place of business before it happens.
•          Lastly, and certainly most important, I want to maintain the ability to protect the individuals and personal property listed in the third bullet against the liberal/socialists/communist enforcers such as yourself, the Lowell City Council, and all other like-minded bureaucrats up to and including those in our federal government.

Thanking you in advance for your prompt issuance of my gun carry permit.

P. S.       I’m also enclosing a gun safety school certificate from a gun safety instructor duly licensed by the State of Massachusetts that I obtained for $75. I will not be submitting the $1,100 fee at this time.

P. P. S.  If my right-to-carry permit is denied the next correspondence you’ll receive will be from my attorney with an attached subpoena for your Federal Court appearance.

That would be my short and to the point essay application. If there remains any doubt in your minds about whether military and/or law enforcement officers will actually knock down your door to confiscate your guns, this should belay any of those doubts. Chief Taylor will lead the no-knock SWAT raid on your home shoulder to shoulder with New Orleans Police Chiefs Compass and Riley who forcefully stole weapons from law-abiding gun owners in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Again I say “Molon Labe”.
