Electoral College

The Electoral College system has worked exactly as our Founding Fathers intended. Hillary supporters claimed it was designed to allow a last ditch vote by 538 individuals in all states to eliminate an incompetent and unworthy person from becoming President of the United States. That is exactly how it worked! Hillary was eliminated by the Electoral College. Hillary’s anarchists committed felonies in their attempts to bribe Electoral College members to refuse to cast their committed votes to Donald Trump. Many state’s laws require that Electoral College members cast their votes as designated by the election. Michael Moore, the plump little socialist that he is, offered to pay the $1,000 fines for members who would vote for someone other than Trump. That is bribery so why hasn’t Michael Moore been arrested for tampering with a US election? Hillary supporter’s efforts to disenfranchise 62 million Trump voters was another resounding Hillary defeat. Donald Trump only lost two electoral voters but Hillary lost five. Brings to mind the old adage “Be careful what you wish for”.

There is another and more important reason the Founders established the Electoral College. The primary purpose of the Electoral College is to prevent large population bases from basically appointing the US President at each four year election. The 2016 election was a prime example of the Electoral College working perfectly. The two densely populated liberal states of California and New York gave Hillary collectively 7.4 million votes. That would mean that only two states out of 50 would have controlled who our next president would be. That would mean that less than .06% of the voters would have controlled who our next president would be. I think the Electoral College worked just fine.

Contrary to Hillary supporters claims, she did not win the popular vote. She got 47.7% of the votes cast with Trump and other candidates getting 52.3% of the votes cast. She did receive well over 2 million more votes than Trump alone but I lean more towards Trump’s way of thinking. If you eliminate all the voter fraud committed by Hillary voters by duplicate voting, dead people voting, illegals voting, with more Hillary votes cast than the voting precinct had registered voters then Donald Trump would have won the popular vote over Hillary. Yes I am stating that I believe that it was a simple liberal process in play that could very easily have produced a 2% fraudulent vote out of the 130 million plus votes cast.

Donald Trump was awarded 304 (57%) electoral votes to Hillary Clinton’s 227 (42%). Trump won 30 states compared to Clinton’s 20. Of the 3,141 counties or county equivalents Trump won a vast majority. I could not nail down an exact number but if you pull up a red versus blue county map you will see mostly red. The bulk of the blue areas encompass large metropolitan areas, proof again that the Electoral College worked its magic.

Even though Trump has won the US Presidency the liberal left and many on the establishment right will fight him every step of the way for the next four years. He has completely upset the good old boy network that has been in place for the last several decades and the good old boys are not going to submit easily to the Trump way of governance. For the first time in those same several decades we have a president who may actually look out for the people rather than themselves. Many on both sides of the aisle are extremely upset by Trump’s cabinet picks. If you can’t understand why the security of our nation should be in the hands of proven military leaders that will keep us safe then you must not want to be safe. If you can’t understand why the national economic and financial security can best be maintained by successful entrepreneurs then you must not want the US to be successful. Why don’t we try governing the nation more as a business or even a household rather than a feeding trough for the money-grubbing politicians, lobbyists, and wealthy donors? Why not establish and maintain a budget that prevents spending more than your income? What a novel idea!

Trump is not president yet but his comments on what will be his administration policies have already created optimism in the US business world; thousands of jobs have been saved from going out of the country and a few international entrepreneurs are offering to create tens of thousands of new jobs within the US. United States Steel has already committed to rehiring 10,000 laid-off steelworkers. Carrier is not moving its air-conditioning manufacturing plant from Indiana to Mexico saving 1,100 jobs for US workers. Ford is considering new investments in the US which will result in American jobs. Obama said to a group of manufacturing employees their jobs were gone forever would not be returning. That may very well be wishful thinking on his part. What Trump’s presidency will actually accomplish remains to be seen but it appears to me that he is off to a good start without even being sworn in as President yet!

Speaking of Obama, he is not going to go away quietly either. He will not give Trump the courtesy of keeping his mouth shut and leaving Washington like all the presidents of the past have done for their successors. George W. Bush did not ever step back up to a podium to defend himself through eight years of Obama bashing his character and his policies. Obama does not have that type of class. Obama will be given a bully pulpit by the unrepentant liberal mainstream media. The liberal media will be unrelenting in their bashing of whatever Trump tries to do on behalf of the American people. They won’t question Trump about his policies because they will be afraid that the policies will be good for America and they absolutely will not help to promote or disseminate those facts. What they will do is run straight to Obama and poke a microphone under his nose in order to promote and disseminate his point of view on each Trump move. He will not be kind to Donald Trump. Obama will make every effort possible to undermine Trump and protect his own pathetic and dangerous legacy. I sincerely hope Trump is successful in voiding all of Obama’s destructive executive orders. After all, now Trump has the phone and the pen!
