Your guns are at risk, not again but still

The Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America states; “a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

I will start this blog out with a couple of no holds barred statements. With the massive numbers of gun control laws already on the books, encompassing local laws all the way up to federal laws, there is no need for any additional controls, especially in the form of executive orders by Obama. You do not have to be an English teacher specializing in sentence structure to understand exactly what the above-mentioned Second Amendment says. There are no additional lines to read between; there is no need for special liberal interpretation; it says what it means and means what it says. Every law that has been written controlling guns in the United States of America is unconstitutional based on the wording in the Second Amendment.

In 2013 Obama took action against the law-abiding gun owners of America with 23 executive orders to ensure “gun safety” and curtail the massive amounts of “gun violence”. The orders ranged from standards for gun locks all away up to allowing the FBI, ATF, and DOJ access to your health records to determine if you were mentally fit to safely own a handgun. Weren’t the liberal/socialists also the ones that banned access to private medical records? There is an order to issue a “memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations”. That memorandum was issued after the initial failure of Obama’s “Fast and Furious” gunrunning program. The distinction being “Fast and Furious” never recovered any of the guns except the one that killed Border Patrol officer Brian Terry in December 2010. And last but not least an order to “maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime”. Had that executive order been first and enforced then it would stand to reason there would have been no need for additional orders. But as I have said all along, including in my book Freedom Permits, common sense has not found a place in the liberal/socialist ideological handbook.

Let’s fast-forward to the most current round of “in-your-face” gun control efforts by Obama. On January 6, 2016 he decided he can keep guns out of the wrong hands with additional background checks. From this point on no one can sell a firearm without doing a background check on the buyer. In simple terms that means that you cannot sell your brother-in-law one of your guns without calling the ATF for approval of the sale. It also means that if you sell one gun you’re essentially in the business of selling firearms and you must get a license as well as conduct background checks. Insanity has become the norm in this administration. While on the topic of sanity, even though medical records have been deemed off-limits even in Obamacare, primary care doctors and mental health providers are now being coerced to open those records to the federal government allowing them to be used when doing background checks. Obama will not add additional Border Patrol agents but will hire 200 new ATF agents to help with investigations and background checks.The ATF will establish an Internet Investigations Center to listen to your online conversations in order to prevent firearms trafficking. In other words, don’t say the word “gun” when you’re tweeting! Obama and his minions are uninformed, ill-informed, or just ignorant concerning gun safety technology. Obama stated: “If we can set it up so you can’t unlock your phone unless you’ve got the right fingerprint, why can’t we do the same thing for our guns?”. Bio-metrics has been used in the grips of handguns for a few years now. Fingerprints are being used to unlock small gun safes holding readily assessable handguns. Knowing what the “bitter clingers” are doing has always eluded Obama.

If you are on Social Security and you have been determined unable to conduct your own personal business or just allow someone to help with it you may have to make the choice to give up your right to own a gun or lose your Social Security benefits. If your primary care doctor is a gun-hating liberal he/she can report you to the feds whether or not you are a menace to yourself or society. The feds then check your social media accounts to see if you have ever mentioned owning a gun. This may be what is called a “backdoor” system of gun confiscation but believe me when I say the SWAT team will be knocking down your front door to gain access to your firearms. The fact that you have never used your firearms in a threatening or illegal fashion will be completely irrelevant. You may very well be exonerated but don’t hold your breath until they return your guns. There is a slim chance you will ever see those weapons again.

As I wrap up this blog I would like to mention a few quick hits. First of all I would have to assume that all the gun stores in America have a picture (not a target) of Obama on the wall with the caption beneath it praising him as the number one gun salesman in America. Gun store owners are laughing at Obama all the way to the bank. He has put more guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans than he has taken away and let’s hope that continues.

Anonymous said: “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns”.  If law-abiding citizens lose their right to possess guns they become prey to the criminals (including those in government) who will still have weapons. As much respect as I have for law enforcement I have to say they are still basically responders to crime. Even if it only takes law enforcement a matter of minutes to respond to a crime in progress a lot of evil can be done in those few short minutes. Only an ignorant or extremely desperate criminal will invade a place that harbors guns. That’s why mass shootings are done in gun free zones like schools, churches, theaters, and businesses that post they are a “gun free zone”.

Don’t be a victim. Buy a gun!
